By popular demand (following a vote in the subscriber chat), we will be reading Tolkien next! We’ll start with the first volume of his 3-part epic — The Fellowship of the Ring.
As usual, the plan is to read Fellowship for next month, split into two bi-weekly discussions. After that, we’ll take a vote in the subscriber chat to see if people want to continue with the rest of the trilogy, or move on to something else in December.
The first discussion on Fellowship will take place in 2 weeks, at the usual time: Wednesday, November 19, at noon Eastern Time (or 5pm UK time).
We will send out Zoom links shortly before that session for those who want to join the discussion directly.
Note: most book club communication is taking place in our subscriber chat room, so head there for announcements and general discussion on the text.
