Thanks to all who joined our first session on Fellowship yesterday!
Sean covered the essential context and philosophical framework of Tolkien’s writing as a whole, and brought out some of the most important plot points of Book 1 of Fellowship.

The second discussion on Fellowship will take place in 2 weeks, at the usual time: Wednesday, December 3, at noon Eastern Time (or 5pm UK time).
After that, we’ll take a vote in the subscriber chat to see if people want to continue with the rest of the trilogy, or move on to something else in December.
Note: most book club communication is taking place in the book club chat room, so head there for announcements and general discussion on the text.
