I see most of the comments are picking up on the overlaying nature of reality that the Bible discusses, but the Bible and Christianity are but one reference point.
When we look at the other aspects of the metaphysical, esoteric and the occult, they too speak on numerology and have similar — if not more insights.
This is what I write about on my stack and this is why esoteric philosophy is needed.
Here are some pieces on the topic, including one, on how we may be under demonic influence and may not know it:
Hahaha! Why would you not want to know? That’s the argument I present. From a Christian perspective, we have one view of demons, but early theologians studied multiple views.
This actually strengthens our understanding of the topic so we can seen when demons come in sheep/christian clothes!
That’s the angle that piece looks to dress - how we can see their influence upon us
That’s an odd way for a Christian to behave, seeking occult, esoteric and other philosophical writings as if they contained anything that rises to the level of the Bible for the needs of a believer. Astrology, divination and other such practices are repulsive to a follower of Christ.
Seven, or rather the relationship of six, seven and the Sabbath, is also related to 2π, the circumference of the circle with radius 1. All ancient craftsmen at some point had to measure the circumference of a circle, and the natural length unit is it's radius, r. Today we know this is 2πr, but π is irrational (in fact, transcendental, ie much "more irrational" tha root 2). Any study of the subject would immediately show that there is some deep weirdness there that the ~6.28 approximation is obscuring, not solving. Thus, you need more than 6, say 7 (if you are counting materials) but not really: the seventh measure is special, and you cannot really get all the way right by any normal means. So, it's the Sabbath, it's there but it's special, you need it to have completeness, but it points to something profound and unresolved. So, seven.
Through my Keltic religion friends, I learnt the number 3 is sacred to them. They even gave me a triskel, a pendant with three whirls. No enmities, we chat (open-minded). The three, not four, seasons, the three ages, the three main gods, and the most sacred of sacred, the 3x3=9. Interesting coincidences.
To throw some more numbers out there, 11 and 22 are also inspired numbers. 9 as well.
Matter of fact, all numbers are special and unique, it’s more so in recognizing them, their appearance and their meaning that we can understand what nature is telling us.
I just made a similar comment below - so we’re on the same page. I dive into the esoteric on my stack and your comment is spot on. The Bible is just one reference of many that speak to this other aspect of reality
Beautiful. Love numerological patterns. In line with this, I see 1,2 and 3 play into the symbolism of 3. 1 being unity, two being diversity and 3 being community. You will note God creates man as 1 then splits in two for purpose of a third. Yet the third represents the two becoming one again. God is 1 in being, two in processions, 3 in person. It is debatable whether God makes man bipartite or tripartite or perhaps both in different ways, either fit this pattern. Also God gives man a logos and a pathos which map well onto the essential function of brain and heart and a third of the lungs which is difficult to distinguish from the heart as both intertwine so intimately. Note veins carry both oxygen and blood, but the path of the nervous system is separate. Just love reflecting on Gods ordered beauty in these areas.
Everything is math. Our bodies, flora, fauna, the universe, art, music, reproduction, lunar phases, the solar system, DNA sequence, sight, sound, birth, death, physics, energy, equations. religion, empirical science, chemistry, literature, architecture, sacred geometry, epochs, species, solar systems... Numbers are infinite. The Universe is infinite. The only absolute is math.
The Fibonacci Sequence, Golden Ratio..
Numbers are a continuum. Numbers form the sequential patterns of EVERYTHING. Including diseases, viruses, mental conditions.
Autistic people generally fixate on the number five. Gamblers on the number seven- ditto superstitious people. Zealots obsess on the numbers 3 and 6. The most common numbers that form relative sequences are divisible by 3.
Was reflecting a bit on my own patterns, and I see how often I use "trinity" in the artworks as well as in a daily life (like puting 3 candles in a specific shape). Can't say I put meaning to that, rather make a choice subconsiously. Just interesting, how it comes to the subconsious level🙃
Just a couple of things. The sabbath rest is the closing event of creation which completes it, not an epilogue. Biblical numbers support these ideas. The number three is also reflected in ancient cosmogony—heaven, earth and the underworld. The number four is not mentioned, but four directions to represent space, just as three (past, present and future) represent time. The addition of three and four is an earthly perfection while the multiplication (12) is a divine perfection. Twelve tribes of Israel and 12 x 12 thousand saved at the end of history.
Some of this is very Christian-based. Some based on nature's cycles. Makes me wonder, are the same numbers so significant in other cultures or are different numbers the most symbolic?
Just to connect the dots, the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve disciples correspond to the twelve months, as determined by the movements of the heavenly bodies, created in Genesis 1 “for signs and for seasons, and for days and years….”
Moreover it’s precisely twelve and not any other number, despite half-tribes and Joseph’s two sons each counting for one, for the same reason. We get close to a specific biblical confirmation that these correspond to constellations in the story of Joseph’s dream. In any care, Jewish tradition holds this view, represented in any number of mosaics and stained glass, etc in Jewish houses of worship.
Or as we Christians say, on earth as in heaven. Not that dead astral bodies determine life on earth, but that the Creator of both uses one to give signs to the other.
3: above below between
7: archons (sun, moon, visible planets)

Joking!

I'm sure there are realms of knowledge out there which the "metaphysical, esoteric and the occult" speaks to, but I don't want to or need to know.
And then you write an article "on how we may be under demonic influence and may not know it".
Pretty sure I know of one fella.

I have also wrote an article based on how Biblical numerology can be seen in nature. This focuses on 3, 8, 26, and 30 though.

Synchronicity.
So disappointing that all of your references are biblical, as if that dominates the majority of human experience over the eons

And on the ‘heavenly’ number 7, I posted this a few days ago for Pi (π) Day, March 14:
